Wendy Shortland is a teacher of acrylic painting, book art and sketching.Between 2002 and 2007she gained an Advanced Diploma in Fine Art at the Sydney Gallery School, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in painting and drawing, at COFA (College of Fine Arts) - part of the University of New South Wales.

Wendy has been a consultant for the acrylic paint company, Derivan, since 2000 which involves training in using acrylic paints and mediums 'direct from the horse's mouth'. She teaches a weekly class in 'Painting in Acrylics' at Sydney Community College, at Rozelle in Sydney.
